Every year, we ask ourselves one question:
How can we make this year’s Louisville Book Festival even more meaningful than the last?
And every year, this community inspires us to dream a little bigger.
More authors.
More readers.
More conversations.
More opportunities.
More stories that remind us why books matter.
And Roxane Gay?!?! Are you kidding? (We are not.)
The 2026 Louisville Book Festival is shaping up to be one of our most exciting festivals yet.
From nationally recognized authors to local literary voices, from children’s story times to thought-provoking panel discussions, from aspiring writers taking their first brave steps to lifelong readers discovering their next favorite book this weekend is a celebration of the power of stories to connect us all.
Whether you’ve attended every festival since the beginning or you’re thinking about joining us for the very first time, we can’t wait to welcome you.
Mark your calendars.
Tell your book-loving friends. All of them.
And get ready...
Because this year is going to be something special.

With its artist studios, galleries, shops, and cafes, MAC will already be a bustling shopping center on Dec 13-14; and with The Flea taking over the two giant event rooms we expect huge crowds.
